All of my canvases are made of 100% heavy-duty cotton.  They are hand splined on the back (which means no staples) and painted on all 4 sides for a frameless display.  The heavy duty frames are 7/8" thick.  Completed pieces are sprayed with a UV-resistant clear acrylic coating that is also moisture resistant and protects against fading.
